The Process

Starting a home improvement project can be an intimidating experience whether it is a simple update or a complete addition or anything in between.  At TLC, we guide you through the process step-by-step to help reduce that stress. While each has a unique set of circumstances, we find most projects generally follow these steps.

DISCOVER – We start with a complimentary meeting to discuss your project and understand your wants, your unique requirements and needs, and your budget and time frame.

DRAFT – The scope of work and initial estimate is prepared.  This step provides a summary of what will be done and outlines allowances for things such as cabinetry, plumbing, flooring, fixtures, etc.  This gives you a straightforward estimate with full transparency into the costs involved.  At the end of this stage, the customer signs a contract and makes a deposit.

DESIGN –We refine your scope of work and budget.  We explore ideas for improving the layout, bring in subcontractors and finalize plans and specs.  Appointments are made with preferred suppliers to guide you through the section process for cabinets, flooring, fixtures, etc.

DO – Permits are acquired, materials ordered, and construction is underway.  Regular meetings and updates keep you informed of progress.  Clean up and a walk through will complete the project.  Our workmanship and materials are guaranteed.
